Good trends. "The mistaken notion that Americans don’t want to work can be put to rest. Nearly 81 percent of Americans ages 25 to 54 are working, the highest share since 2001." And while white employment has declined, it's grown significantly for Black & Brown people & immigrants. Gifted article.

This is timely. After the recent SCOTUS decision I’m seeing old-school bigoted remarks I thought were gone for good. According to bigots we’re lazy, inferior, willing to take unearned benefits, just trifling altogether.

Not that I willingly engage with bigots (usually pointless), but I have on occasion asked people what they think affirmative action is. And they never know. 😡😡

When all of that stuff applies to the privileged whites who get a leg up on everyone else. So messed up.

As a brown person who has contributed greatly to this nation especially through my education and labor, I am not asking for thanks. I'm asking for more money!!!

But to Republicans (and, I suspect, many independents and even some Democrats), this won't be good news. Because the white workforce shrunk. And consciously or not, that's who people think of when we talk about "workers". This will just reinforce the idea that "those people" are "stealing our jobs".
