And don't forget just because a state has a huge blue city - like NY - doesn't mean we don't have a countryside full of confederate and trump flags. We're still fighting the fight outside of the urban centers. Don't get cocky. Things will slide for the worse the moment we become complacent.

The Massachusetts town I grew up in is still *very* Republican, but not MAGA, so much. The one I live in (just 10 miles away) is very blue.

This is encouraging. Lots of red around me and I’m not in any of the western communities. Just a lot of rich old white people. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

I sometimes joke that I spent my childhood in “Calibama,” the redneck, north eastern part of California. I hear it’s very MAGA there now.
