Can an actual #SAGAFTRA member explain why the strike means that #comicon is off-limits? Is it because performers' appearances have to be authorized by the studios whose properties that they're promoting?

Why couldn't they appear as independent contractors? If they want to be there during a strike?

Hey, I had no idea that ComiCon was a strike zone! I just know that it makes a fortune for San Diego, hospitality, studios & marketing.

But hey, what kind of a ComiCon did they expect when the hospitality unions have been driven to strike by greedy corporate rat-bastids?

It's not the business it's the union employees!! If a strike is called, it's all business!! All for one and one for all!! You know, like the United nations used to be!!

The businesses force unionized employees to strike by refusing to treat labor like human beings with rights.
