BREAKING: Screen Actors Guild joins STRIKE by Writers Guild of America (WGA) vs Big Media for underpaying artists on streaming content. First SAG strike since 1960.

Just revealed: studios plan to "break the WGA" and "to drag on until union members start losing their apartments."

Unions are great! Much better than political parties!

That is backfiring on them. According to this tweet after the public heard there was a huge surge in donations to the Entertainment Community Fund.

This is a powerful alliance. Good luck to both unions and may they make the execs eat their words.

Studio chiefs don’t seem to realize this isn’t like other strikes. Movie viewership is way down & TV has meaningful competition.

IF THE PRODUCT SUCKS BAD ENOUGH VIEWERS WILL GO ELSEWHERE AND NOT COME BACK.

Guaranteed at AI product will suck, especially at first.

This may be the catalyst that gets movie makers to join together in an independent way as happened with United Artists in 1919. Hoping we may see a renaissance in American filmmaking instead of the formulaic treacle and rehashed stuff corporate has been churning out.
