Not saying I’m right and there were a lot of technical restrictions they had to deal with in tv at the time that I don’t have to worry about.

Awesome. Hey, can I ask... when you're storyboarding, are you thinking in each case of what lens would be used to shoot each image? Like are you thinking in terms of 28mm, 50mm, or whatever? Or are you drawing what feels right and leaving it up to the DP and director to figure out the lens?

I always have a sense of the focal length and try to communicate that through the drawing. The director and DP are going to do what they're going to do on the day though. If I'm working with a previs artist then we're deciding on the specific lens and that can carry through the VFX pipeline.
