If it's a day ending in Y, there is more probable misinformation spreading about the SAG-AFTRA strike. I saw a screenshot about content creators and cosplay and it made it seem like also applied to fans not in SAG-AFTRA. If a fan is not in SAG-AFTRA, they can still cosplay, right?

My understanding is if you have any intention of ever joining the union/industry you should definitely not cosplay struck productions.
As a non-union member, with no intention of joining the industry, I suppose you COULD, but it may be seen as crossing the picket line/promoting struck work.

At comic con for example, you can definitely still cosplay comics or books, but I’d stay away from film or tv for the time being.

Lots of comics and books have become film and TV properties.

Yeah, I agree. So for influencers or anyone who might join the industry later, I would avoid those. For just a fan, there’s probably more wiggle room.
