OK pod, I gotta question for ya. Am I terrible for ending the pay-it-forward line at Starbucks?
I just said thanks & put my $6 in the tip jar instead, & drove away.
I hate those. It feels like it misses the point, cuz everyone still pays, so...? The workers gotta hate it too, right?
Am I wrong?

The varying tip schemes & w/states varying minimum wages accorded to all in food service has never made sense. None of it.

Living incomes paid by employers is more sensible vs. the money laundering (okay, more like $$drycleaning) that exists now

You did the right thing. The tip jar is the way to end it. Once it's becomes that, it has lost its value. It should always end right after the first one.
