If I were told, that as apart of my job, I had to push women and children into a river, I'd fucking quit on the spot. I don't care if it would cost me my living situation, leave me floundering for funds - there are some things you just don't do.
But then again I have empathy and a conscience.

That there were not mass resignations is concerning.

That is, staying and following orders seems like the behavior that, as I understand it, was commonplace amongst German police and military in regards to their orders from the Nazis to target Jews and other marginalized groups.

Well, I could well have missed the part of this story that involves mass resignations or, at the least, a public refusal to follow the orders in question.

But I've not heard anything about it.

I'd quit and then sue. I'd also make sure that this is kept in the media ALL OF THE TIME. When bodies start arriving, I'd double down.
