The one thing I want everyone to know about #depression is that it isn’t simply “feeling sad.” It’s crippling despair that feels unending to the person affected. It often requires medical intervention. #PleaseEcho

Having suffered and been treated for clinical depression myself, and YMMV, was the despair was rooted in a feeling of not knowing why I felt so sad so I found reasons in my own life. This doesn't even cover the physical symptoms of chest and joint pain. Sometimes, getting out of bed was a chore.

I remember the time in my life when getting out of bed was a monumental task for me, grooming, and eating also took effort. I wouldn’t wish those feelings on anyone. I hope you are at a point in your life where you are doing well!💙💛

This was over 30 years ago. I credit Prozac & daily therapy with saving my life. I was super lucky that my husband was in the navy & I had access to family services on base. My psychiatrist was going to hospitalize me but my therapist agreed to see me daily.
