I'd rather eat something grown in a lab than processed in a slaughterhouse, and that is before you add in the cruelty, labor violations, and climate damage in the meat industry

Just NO❗

Beware... Lab-grown meat may be heading to a restaurant near you.

Got to see a "good" factory farm in person a few weeks back. 20,000 chickens in a long climate controlled shed that's pitch black in the middle of the day. Farmer walks the length of it daily to find 5-10 dead birds that need to be incinerated. Consumes roughly 400kWh/day to run it.

And that is a "good" one. I have been in one that was the source of an outbreak and that was one of the few times I puked on the job. That smell!

Is it possible there's a third option? Less and better meat and dairy? https://civileats.com/2022...

It is but most people won't give it up. I only eat meat that someone I know or I hunted/fished

1000s of years eating meat from the land vs meat grown in a lab yesterday... imma take real meat every time. No thank you. I'm not an animal lover. The food chain is real.

I have a bigger problem with the climate destruction and labor abuses, TBF. I'm totally OK eating hunted meat

Agreed. Factory farming is abhorrent.
