I have always been fond of Jon Hamm's work. He's a great straight man comedic actor in the tradition of Leslie Neilsen, but he figured it out sooner. "Confess, Fletch" is an absolute delight. I never imagined I'd get more Fletch movies and Hamm may be better at this than Chevy Chase.

My expectations weren't high (nothing against Hamm, but Chevy's Fletch is iconic), but I really enjoyed it!

In a way, Hamm's Fletch feels closer to the one from the books. Chevy Chase is...Chevy Chase. All the time. He has no off switch, no other character.

Good to know. I'm not familiar with the books. Maybe I'll get to them when I retire (hopefully) in a few yrs!
