During the 13th Century in South Korea, Buddhist scriptures were carved on wooden slabs, forming the Tripitaka Koreana. Comprising 81,258 blocks, it's the oldest intact version of Buddhist canon in Hanja script with 52,330,152 characters, arranged across 1496 titles and 6568 volumes.
