If this is some supposed commentary on Barbie not being inclusive, it's malarkey. The first Black doll in the Barbie family was released in 1966. In 1969 there was Christie, her boyfriend Brad, and a celeb doll based on Diahann Carroll as Julia. She had Black, Latina & Asian friends in the 70s.

In 1980 the first Black and Latina Barbies (using that name, not one of her friends) were released. All holiday dolls are released in white, Black, Latina & Asian editions. Inspiring Women series highlights historical women, most recently Bessie Coleman, Ida B Wells and Anna May Wong. Fashionista

series (as shown in the documentary On Tiny Shoulders) launched playline dolls with different skin tones, face sculpts, hair textures & colors, and body types, more recently with disabilities ranging from wheelchairs, prosthetic limbs, hearing aids, vitaligo, and most recently Downs Syndrome.
