Me knowing that 2FA by text is the least secure method of 2FA, and while it costs Twitter money to use it, that cost won’t be mitigated by limiting its use to to those who pay for it since they use SMS for other things, so it’s just another juvenile stunt, by a kid with an ant farm, to cause chaos.

Maybe if he hadn’t fired so many people, he would have a staff that could figure out a more eloquent way to do this. Instead, just going to cancel accounts?

There are other forms available on Twitter for 2FA that are more secure than SMS, using a security key being the most secure. The entire thing is stupid, and the fact that the trolls think it’s some kind of own is hilarious.
