Elon wants to change Twitter to X
And it shouldn’t be all that complex

Forgive my ignorance (I’m not a Lawyer or Patent Attorney) how can X be copyrighted? It’s a LETTER of the alphabet? I don’t get it. 😝🙄😜☮️

This isn't a case of copyright protection. Meta may have trademarked X for social media purposes. Names like X-Men (superheroes) and The X Factor (talent show) can be trademark-protected so no one else can use those names for the same biz purposes.

Not a lawyer here, either.

From my reading of the article...Zuckerberg patented the X for use with social media.

Not sure that makes a difference?

I still think the whole re-naming thing is DUMB. Any freshman in a first year business class knows you don’t mess with an ICONIC BRAND or IMAGE. It doesn’t make any sense. I still wonder if Musk’s real plan all along was to destroy Twitter? 🤷‍♀️😝

So theoretically people can just copyright any letter of the alphabet? It’s kind of weird.
