If you write a book about failure and it doesn't sell, is it a success?

In response to Ola.
That all depends on how a person defines "success." Completing the writing of a book in itself is a success. Whether it sells has nothing to do with the act of writing a book. Marketing may be well out of the author's hands. If "selling" is the mark of success, then no. It is all perspective.
