I kinda want to write a #Superhero #Novel , but I don't just like re-treading what others have done, and I feel like it's ALL been done at this point, including subversions and probably subversions of subversions.

So what do you all say? Does the genre have any juice left in it? #WritingCommunity

Superheroes have inspired 9 of the top 20 highest grossing films of all time. Stories about people who heroically struggle with their own morality & set an example of virtue, will be relevant as long as there is injustice & people dream of a better world. They are our modern myths.

Very true... I just have to find that twist which will keep it fresh.

I feel like there is always room to explore people and behavior given the infinite mix of potential influences in a context. Same for one in which "superhero" is an ingredient in any definition of the term.

I hope so, I'd like to give the genre a shot.

When something has been done to death, examining the genre and flipping it on its head is the direction with legs.

It'll be a challenge flipping it in a way that others haven't already flipped it.

But hey, challenges are good.
