This article has been gifted...so no paywall. This is terrifying. I live in the northeast, in the past when I go for a beach walk I can barely get my feet wet it's too cold. This year I've gone almost daily and it's warm enough to swim. We've murdered the planet.

I KNOW.....right? Here in the Northwest our summers used to be mild, 70s mostly, rain till the 5th of July. Now we are in the 90s for much of the summer, with a record 116°, and other days over 100.
I cant believe the obvious climate change some still deny. We are killing our planet.

It’s just frightening, but the petroleum industry doesn’t care. I wonder if they ever think about their grandchildren’s future? Probably not. $$$ skews the minds eye. 😔
