I think someone QS’ed to advocate not QS’ing if the intent is to scold the OP…particularly when the QS will predictably result in dog piling on the OP

In this case, the QSer was scolding the OP but it resulted in a lot of subSpouts rather than a dog pile.

Stan behaviors will emerge here and they’ll have negative consequences which we have to figure out how to mitigate or manage as a community.

SubSpouting, or perhaps Fluking, is likely the kinder response than joining a dog pile. Debate pushes into more general spaces less tied to personalities.

Thanks 👍. This is a fine line to walk. I will admit. How does one figure out if the QSer just wanted to legitimately criticize and illuminate the OP's spout to start a debate, or intentionally used QSing to paint a bullseye on the OP. I wish @cbouzy and his Bot Sentinel the best of luck with that.
