I am grateful the deep roots are getting a good soak that me watering cannot give them.

Looks like more of a tree came down. We hope it keeps falling apart in that direction since we are way down on the reliable tree service list.

I hear that. Arborists still aren't answering phones, here. Most of a large redbud came down in a May storm, & it's still waiting. So when my chainsaw is finally ready to be picked up, I'll get after it. (I'm leaving the trunk not because I'm lazy 😉 but because the woodpeckers have claimed it. 😄)

We can't take down these trees ourselves. They are huge. The Mr. has all the right equipment and chaps but we are too old for this.
