My one request as someone who has had personal info leaked from a twitter data breach (as reported by Jumbo) would be to not be forced to keep a phone number on my account. For initial verification it’s fine, but now I can’t delete it.

It depends on the encryption, how the keys are stored and the security of internal access (reverse/social engineering). Remember a couple teenagers in Florida got a twitter admin password and were able to take over numerous prominent accounts. It’s better just not to store sensitive data.
