Elon stop trying to make “X” happen. It’s not going to happen. #MeanGirls
Tristan Snell @tristansnell
Elon Musk reportedly bought http://x.com in the 90s for $1 million and used it for his payments startup.

Then it was merged into PayPal.

Then Musk tried to get rid of PayPal and call it X -- and he was forced out of PayPal.

He's still trying to make X a thing. 😂

I saw a long thread on Mastodon last week about this. Apparently, Musk has been obsessed with the idea of X marks the spot (of buried treasure) for a long time.

Yes. His first big success was a money payment site called x.com. It merged w Paypal …where he made his first big haul but then was ousted … partially because he tried to change the name to X.

This is some weird OCD thing for him. Won’t stop trying.

The thread I read pretty much said the same. Not only the obsession with X, but also the idea of becoming some type of super Walmart of financial services online. Crypto, micro loans, etc. He's a weird guy.

Yeah. He definitely has some interesting wiring going on… This wiring circumvents self-awareness, empathy, and social QS. But way too many connections to his belief in his own superiority.

That much money tends to do that to people. When you can throw away $44 million dollars and have zero impact on your lifestyle, it probably goes to your head a bit.

No doubt. Add the genetics of a Sociopath and a father who had a creepy history with women, breeding, blood emeralds, and apartheid and Elon is the perfect storm of evil.
