There is a Pileated Woodpecker that frequents my suet feeder and, man, are they big! Only the fearless Chickadees will brave the feeder while the Pileated is there. PW has also made some big holes in one of the trees in my yard. I'm hoping maybe it will nest and I'll get to see babies this spring.

Don't encourage them! My yard is full of pock-marked trees, some of which will surely fall down in the next year or so, thanks to their voracious appetites for whatever they're finding behind the bark.
Yes, those behemoth birds are fascinating, but the damage they can do is unbelievable!
