The Constitution was written and ratified BEFORE George Washington became President.

The Constitution created the office of President.

It would have been impossible for him to have been President until after the Constitution was ratified.

WOW... And YOU want to be President?

Ah... not exactly.

The revolution ran from 1775 to 1783. The first Constitution was under the Articles of Confederation (1779).

The Articles sucked. The Constitution Convention wrote a new Constitution in 1787 which started in 1788.

Gen. Washington became President Washington in 1789.

Correct, he did not oversee the “oversee the creation of the constitution as president.” That’s what I’m saying.
