Okay... just for factual clarity. The insurrection happened Jan 6th, 2021. Garland confirmed March 2021. Smith was appointed November 18, 2022. By my count, that is one year and eight months AFTER Garland took over the DOJ.

It's okay to be critical of the process and people who run it.

MSNBC…Garland bashers…AG Garland was not even confirmed until March of 2021. He didn’t stop any investigation…and the reporting claiming he did has blatant flaws, not to mention contradictory info.

You have fact-checkers on staff. Please. Stop.

Yes. The complaint about Garland was not that he was shutting down investigations. It was that there were no public facing investigations started until Smith was appointed. Maybe Smith wasn’t available but we could already be done with trials if investigations were started earlier.

Agree.... There was a lot that could have been done and done differently. But ... alas.... we are where we are.
