We have the opportunity to obtain more local grape. Which one should we consider?

Whatever’s crisp, tart, a little sweet, and not dry. If it’s not waking up my tastebuds like a sunrise on my tongue, I’m not interested.

I love red blends that are stored in whiskey barrels for a period of time so that it gives the wine a really strong robust taste. Does that make me odd and uncouth?

You being odd and uncouth for enjoying those type of wines? Of course not. Drink what you like, and like what you drink.

Chardonnays are too buttery oaky.

We do not make our Chardonnay in a buttery oakey style. We prefer crisp and fruit forward.

I voted chardonnay, contingent on you doing it Chablis style. If you're going to make a butter-bomb, then change my vote to sauvignon blanc.
