2- According to our administrative Supreme court, as no such risk was demonstrated, the ban infringes upon freedom of movement and conscience. You'd think that mayors would stop doing this? Well nope:

3-Despite the Council of State's decision, far-right mayor of Fréjus (still on the Riviera) issued a local ban on the wearing of "loose and covering clothing" (targeting in reality burkini) citing safety and hygiene concerns.
