We are eating industrialized meat that passes through a factory with thousands of other animals every single day, vastly increasing the risk of cross contamination. Gone are the old days of visiting the butcher who might have a total of 3-4 animals on premises that they are making cuts from.

My grandmother kept meat in the smokehouse all Winter.

My mother kept meat in the refrigerator for 10 days.

Hamburger today lasts 3 days top.

What the Hell are we eating?

We stopped eating meat 5 years ago and haven't missed one iota of it! I had a triple bypass in April and I'm guessing 55 years of eating any/all meat products 24/7/365 didn't help!

More power to you, man! I don't think I could do it. Being an Iowa boy, it's practically in my DNA.

It actually wasn't as hard as I imagined! The worst part of it is going out to eat... the vast majority of places toss on a salad and say they're vegetarian friendly! It is pretty funny
