And completely ignores the skills people came with! African textiles and metalworking was an export to Europe so obviously their artisans were valued and likely kidnapped into slavery.

Outside of the totally racist idea that slavery was in any way beneficial, this entire concept also deeply incorporates the soft racism of suggesting that Black people were in some way unlikely or unable to develop skills useful to white America on their own.

The bronzes the Brits won't return are some of the most beautiful metal work I've ever seen. No doubt talent was systematically stolen from Africa. It's so gross to infer otherwise.

Exactly it was slaves and indigenous communities who had the agricultural and survival skills,at the very beginning of the colonization there were many deaths from starvation from colonizers that had no clue

And Europe was a stinky economic backwater compared to the kindoms in African like Kongo, China, India, Persians, Ottomans, Arab Empires, etc. up until they colonized and ruined every other economy

Entire groups of tribes and villages were stolen specifically for the skills they had.

Absolutely. White people forget that they developed basically nothing that would be considered the hallmarks of civilization. We just stole it and built on it, not unlike Elon buying other companies like Tesla and SpaceX and then claiming to be some sort of successful genius.
