Irony: Barbie movie, asking so many things, mocks the idea of the ideal, yet manages to be a movie of pure perfection. Perfect example: Kate McKinnon is the perfect........ well, what she was in the movie 🤣

I am so glad I saw that. Am I the only one gushing over Rhea Perlman? I just love her

It absolutely captures the entire zeitgeist of now, as movies have done in the past, but for once from the perspective NOT of men or of women living for men's approval. And the execution....... FLAWLESS

Agreed. Love the cast, the sets, the soundtrack, costumes, I could go on. It was pretty much everything I wanted - fun and smart. Makes the critiques seem very silly.

Oooh, and you know what really got me? The promos said if you love Barbie this movie is for you, and if you HATE Barbie this movie is for you.

Now, think about how the movie totally delivered on that promise 🤣

If only all movies could deliver on theirs like this did

That got me too. I wasn't sure if I was going to see it or not. When I saw thhe trailer I thought, "Do I love Barbie? Do I hate Barbie? I guess it doesn't matter but I'm intrigued." I definitely thought back to that premise after leaving the theater. They did it.

Thanks for having a Barbie chat!
