I respectfully disagree. I find that religious schools are more rigorous in my area and students are better prepared for college than the public schools with a few exceptions. My local Catholic HS has a 95% college entry rate. People laugh about Catholic schools but kids do get an education there.

I should have made my spout clear. I'm referring to state voucher programs using public funds to support private schools who are not beholden to state educational mandates. It's a thing and will be a big problem. Private schools in illinois are not state funded but do comply. They are top notch
