Yes and no. Idealistically it sounds great. But realistically there are some major issues. 1) The wiring/cabling to get the energy from the panels to the grid. 2) Loss of energy in the transfer. 3) Requiring a grid. DV power drops off very quickly. That's why microgrids are much more efficient.
