The more money they get, the more removed they are from those they harm. People wonder how someone like Tucker Carlson can do what he does in good conscience. It's easy - ordinary Americans are nowhere in his consciousness.

So true. I’ve had quite a few political convos where someone has said, “I don’t want to believe that someone could be that evil/greedy/malicious.”

We definitely have a problem with passivity.
