As an adult gay man, there are a PLETHORA of sites I go to for porn and the like. I do not need it or want it, here.

I am a sex-positive being, but I know how to separate that from the rest of my interactions with people; because I'm a freaking adult!

@cbouzy has my full support!

Sex and adult themes are a part of real life. Congratulations on the puritanism though, I guess. Never saw that on Twitter *deep eye roll*

If it will stop Spoutible from being an app on Google play store and/or discourage advertising from making Spoutible a profitable business than I ask you, why should @cbouzy sacrifice his business opportunity to satisfy someone else wanting to make money off his work?

It didn't stop Twitter from being on the app stores or becoming the communication platform for advertisers and governments.

Not allowing adult content or having a policy worded so strictly as to be open to interpretation by moderators to discriminate is wrong

So your solution is to have no ToS rules since no matter how it is worded someone will interpret it as discrimination towards them personally? 🤔

... wut? No. What is wrong with you? That's not what I'm saying at all. Having the nebulous "no adult content" is exactly what will lead to discrimination.

Sexual violence and harassment is not the same as adult content.

So what do you define as "Adult content"?
For some, sexually explicit photos can be disturbing, unwanted or triggering. Who gets to decide where to draw the line?

That's why you put content warnings on posts and ideally you have an option to blur posts so you have to actually click on them to interact. It's not like I'm advocating everything be available to everyone. I'm aware of the importance of triggers and how everyone doesn't want to see the same content

I could see that being options in future updates as the site develops. I haven't been able to read the offending passages in the ToS due to aging eyes and small print 😉 just seems the issue is going nuclear without discussion to find compromises that work for the majority 🤔

This shouldn't be an issue to begin with if it was phrased properly. But I thank you for being civil

Why I came to Spoutible, to have civil conversations about differing opinions. 😊

Perhaps if we hadn't all rushed @cbouzy to get the site running more time could have been put on the wording of the ToS. He was probably more focused on the tech issues of creating a stable operating platform lol. But I do think discourse can be had to better phrase the ToS to limit misunderstanding
