Day 13: a chip

Dropped an inexpensive juice glass as I was putting it in the cupboard. The glass survived but it took a big #CHIP out of this lovely vase sitting on the counter below. •sigh•

It’s easy enough to hide the chip with the flower arrangement but I’m sad about it.

I would use a wet silicon carbide sand paper on that edge, start with 150-grit, 220-grit, 320-grit, and finally 400-grit sandpaper. To polish the edge to perfection, use 1000- and 2000-grit sandpaper. Then wipe residue with a damp cloth.

You sound so confident!
I am a fix-it disaster zone.

I wonder if there are local services that do what you describe? I really would love to restore this beautiful object.

🌼Thank you for taking the time.
