Two Federalist Society constitutional scholars conclude: “Donald #Trump cannot be president - cannot run for president, cannot become president, cannot hold office - unless two-thirds of Congress decides to grant him amnesty for his conduct on Jan. 6.”

Don't get TOO excited...this is Fed Soc's way of trying to gain some legitimacy after using up Trump. They know it'd take years of court battles to try and prove it, so they're pushing it because they know it won't be put it to the test.

This will not affect the GOP primary, but this is not a hurriedly written opinion piece. It carries weight and will hang over Trump - along with the trials and possibly convictions- throughout the election. The reputation of the Fed Society is not important, the opinions of independent voters are.

Please...Fed Soc needs those independent voters see them as something other than the enablers that made Trump possible. For that, their rep absolutely matters.

With or without them, Trump is finished. That's why they're pivoting.

Fine. Let them have it.
I'm not going to obsess over their reputation to the exclusion of more important things, like a Trump presidency.
