They'll be here soon and gone in a blink. Try to slow down and enjoy the flowers any chance you get.

About 3 months before mine blossom. Then I have to wait to see how the cherry crop turns out. Last year it was bonkers on my lone surviving pie cherry. I picked, hand pitted, froze or canned, and made muffins for 3 weeks while they ripened. Yum. I ❤️ cherries.

Amazing. Cherries are awesome and constitute a significant portion of my summer diet 😁

Ya same, it'll be a while for us too. I hope to go to the coast early spring to catch them sooner.

We have a sour cherry tree in our yard, is that what you mean by pie cherries?

Yes. My only surviving tree is a montmorency. My north stars both died due to black spot. Too many silver maples around. They harbor that disease. My remaining tree struggled, but survived, and the cherries are the best for pies. I made a coffee cake with some I canned the other day. So good.
