Adopting a dog on Saturday, folks. Recommend some supplies and stuff (other than the basics).

A good no-pull harness for walking with your dog. You will both appreciate it.

A shock absorbing leash so your arm doesn't get pulled out its socket if it takes off running while you're taking walks. Ask me how I know. LOL.🐾

Get some marrow bones from the butcher.

Dogs get stressed in new places and often will chew their way through that stress.

A frozen marrow bone keeps them occupied for a good long time and saves you a lot of heartache.

They need to be big enough not to fit entirely in their mouth.

If the dog knows how to play fetch, a Chuckit. Tennis balls get gross, quickly.

Lots of white wine until y’all figure out how to have a glass without the pup jumping all over you. Then you can reintroduce red!

what kind are you getting? is it a puppy? if so, for the inevitable piddle accidents, i highly recommend nature's miracle. it has enzymes to break down urine and eliminate any residual smell so the pup doesn't return to the same location and think it's ok to go there.
