I have issues when an office manager position for can be offered $80-140k/yr but these same agencies will underpay nutrition staff. There's no reason for a Dietitian to make $40k working for Head Start, WIC, or any other agency. Not with a MS req.

This goes for social workers and licensed counselors too. We have CEU requirements, expensive licensing fees, student loans, and high case loads. Some of us have to specialize in specific SOPs. Nutrition is based in biochemistry. Neither RDNs or SWs are seen important until we are. Pay us our worth
