I'm grateful your house was saved and it must be horrible to be amongst the ruins of other's lives. I hope your community comes back together as quickly as possible and that you remain safe.

although no one gives a crap, to me my dad's hand built house is just as sacred as my great grandfathers

My dad was also a firefighter, once upon a time, at that firehall.

Well, not exactly.

He helped raise funds to build this firehall while a volunteer firefighter. But I dont think Dad ever fought a fire from here,

And now its gone.

It was my parents house (not mine), and across the street my aunt and uncles.

My dad built my parent's house with his own two hands, and that is a good part of why I have been so wrapped up in it. I want to preserve that house as long as I can
