In my 47 years, none of my gay friends have ever equated being gay to porn. They would be insulted if someone even suggested it. It's odd several accounts are using this right-wing talking point.

Correct me if I'm wrong, because I think the rules are pretty clear.

Posting porn: NO
Art that maybe contains nudity: YES
Educational material with nudity: YES
Medical stuff with nudity: YES

Is it really that difficult to not post porn?

I truly want clarification for discussions I'm having with others: If you link to a romance novel that has a racy cover, is that allowed? Are you allowed to flirt with people in DMs even if it's a bit suggestive? #3 are you allowed to talk about sexual assaults? There are more, but I'll start there.

I haven't had anyone report the romance book covers I've posted. I wouldn't post screenshots of the sex scenes because those would be against TOS according to the email I got.

If it is not porn, then it is fine. But let's make it an experiment to illustrate my point. This is not porn:

You ignored what I asked - how saucy are you allowed to get in DMs before it's considered sexually suggestive? I get not allowing it for public posts.

The policy is not just pictures: "Engaging in sexually suggestive or explicit language in posts, comments, or private messages".

And even Meta allows vintage nudy art. That's a PG-13 level test. Let's try breastfeeding for example, hopefully that's allowed?

If the rule is really "if FB/Insta will allow it, so will Spoutible" then that's clearer, because those guidelines are nuanced (tho missteps happen).
