I'm actually named after the Kyle of Lochalsh – the strait between mainland Scotland and the Isle of Skye (my older brother's name is Skye. Oddly our family is not at all Scottish...).

So this is all true! 😁😆

Apparently, it's a compliment.

Kyle meaning:narrow; strait; confidence; reliance; trust. Kyle is a gender-neutral place name rooted in the Gaelic word caol, meaning "slender" or "strait."

My Dad & I stayed in the Kyle of Lochalsh for a night or 2 many yrs. ago. Took the car ferry (before the bridge was erected) over to Skye for a day excursion. Loved the entire vibe. Found out much later that ancestors likely were around that general area at some point in history. Synchronicity!
