Trump's mugshot means very little to the people who have been sitting in Fulton County Jail for months or even years because they can't pay bail or are waiting on a court date. He's not being treated like everyone else. Stop the bullshit.

I do think that his mugshot will have an impact- if nothing else, to puncture whatever remains of his "strongman" image.

But no, he won't be anywhere near being treated like everyone else until he's doing hard time. And even then he'll probably go to some cushy minimum security rich guy prison.

IMO, he'll never see prison. I'll be surprised if he's ever convicted. If he is, I'd guess house arrest or ankle monitor, if that. Look at the special treatment he's had already. I think TPTB are still afraid of widespread violence. I hope like hell I am wrong.

People spent six years insisting he'd never be indicted. Now you're insisting he'll never be convicted, because (supposedly) the government is afraid and won't let it happen.

Doesn't work that way. The DOJ wouldn't indict if they didn't want a conviction, and the juries will make the decision

Conceivably SCOTUS could overturn on appeal, but they haven't exactly been siding with Trump in his legal battles so far.

All this that "they" won't let him be convicted is frankly conspiracy theorism, that smacks of "both sides"-ism.
