Today, and everyday, I'm eternally grateful for the Black women who have done the work, and made personal sacrifices, to remind America of its failing and pushed to make it better:
Harriet Tibman
Sojourner Truth
Ida B Wells
Fannie Lou Hamer
Kamala Devi Harris
Letitia James
Fani Willis
Ella Baker

These Black women and countless more, have risked their lives to free enslaved people, tell of lynchings, educate Black Americans about injustice, fight for justice and hold criminals accountable.
Black women who fight injustice must be supported and protected.

As I've gotten older, I have resumed limited myself to a small circle of friends because it's safer: personally and professionally.
