This can't be applied everywhere. I live in Los Angeles. It's impossible to live without a car here. Also, as much as it sounds great, the program you're talking about was set in place in Europe in a lot of cities and it creates a lot of loss for small businesses.

I'm not talking about what is, but what could be. The fact that you absolutely need a car to live in an area is the issue. I'm here in central Europe where these things are already reality and haven't seen any negative impact on small businesses. Who said that small businesses are affected by this?

I lived in Switzerland until 2016. The Green Party is getting big there & Geneva is eliminating more and more parking spaces to plant trees and flowers. 2 lane roads are turned into one car lane and one bike lane. On the rive droite of the lac leman, a lot of small businesses have lost money.
