Daylight saving time is fast approaching and I HATE HATE HATE it. Science backs me up on this.

Permanent standard time forever.

Disagree, I don't like the clocks changing but I would rather stay on daylight savings permanently!

This was tried in 1973 and it was a nightmare. Think about sunrise times during winter.
The daylight hours naturally get longer & shorter seasonally and standard time is closer to the natural circadian rhythm.
The American Academy of Sleep Medicine has called for permanent standard time.

I've heard, but times are much different now, we are working longer hours than prior generations, we have smarter cars with brighter lights, and there are plenty of places that function just fine with less light in the morning already. Light at night is overall more beneficial now.

It's not good for quality sleep, nor is it good to have such a delayed sunrise during the winter months, especially for schoolchildren.

I'm not seeing how it's not good for quality sleep? Darker Later into the morning means more sleep, doctors are pushing schools for later start times so kids can get more sleep too, this would help that push.

That's not how sleep cycles work. A later start for teenagers is specific to a temporary phase and their need for more sleep.
