Question: what is it about ww sports commentators that makes them sound so jealous of Black women athletes to the extent of drawing attention to minor mistakes in otherwise flawless performances. I mean I KNOW why, just curious if anyone else has noticed that.

I used to work at a sports network that was 24/7 Olympic style sports.

NBC Sports eventually bought the network and racism & misogyny started running rampant throughout. And the guy in charge of gymnastics coverage, he's a disgusting racist misogynistic pig.

Back in the 80s, I always remember basketball commentators mentioning how the white players, "worked hard" [Bird], and the Black players had, "god given talent" [Magic].

I noticed. Been watching gymnastics and ice skating since I was a kid.

I’m hoping as more of the young Black women currently in the sport retire, they move on to sports commenting. It’s desperately needed.
