Living alone is such a valuable way to learn independence and self-sufficiency that I think, not enough people experience.

Benefits:
— You learn to manage money and pay bills completely on your own

— You learn to handle solitude and it forces you to spend a lot of quality time by yourself.

— You learn a bit of the ins and outs of maintaining your own place by yourself

— You learn to be less dependent on other people for, quite literally, everything

A lot of people love the thought of living alone. But once the excitement wears off, it can be really difficult.

People who are prone to depression or loneliness can be hit especially hard.

Sometimes, the silence becomes deafening, and the lack of company and noise can drive even perpetual loners crazy.

Even so, I think the experience itself is so beneficial and worth every bit.

I’ve been living on my own for 9 years now. After the initial adjustment, I love it. I honestly can imagine sharing my space with anyone. If I ever meet someone who makes me want to share it again, I’ll know he‘s a keeper 😁
