I sincerely don't understand why people feel the need to be rude to our community, and then complain when they don't receive a warm welcome.

ToddDa locked his Spout so people couldn't debunk it. As you said:

"She started her spout with "Are we still using this website?" Then proceeded to call the users "deranged" for taking offense to her spout. The people here also have a very low tolerance for BS, it's literally why they are here."

I never understood the Trump “Fvck Your Feelings” bumper stickers either, because they all have the thinnest skin at baseline anyway.

It's essentially like when a school bully sheds crocodile tears, whenever they're qctually punished for their crappy behaviour, really.

Just a WAG, but I’m willing to bet it’s b/c they choose to believe this platform couldn’t possibly be as warm and supportive as it actually is. It’s a self-righteous justification for being jerks.

They find karma works Chris..They/ them/ need mark and remember ONE proverb, from an old sage philosopher, Confucius: “Wisdom, compassion, and courage are the three universally recognized moral qualities of men.”“Don’t complain about the snow on your neighbor’s roof when your own doorstep is unclean.

Nor do I. It's like a dinner guest showing up to piss in the soup and spit on the fish, then crying that nobody likes them.

I think it's good old entitlement.

And it messes them up when they show up with their BS, and people here simply say "nope" and move on.

They just have to be the center of everything. Always.

I'm guessing that it's a society-wide problem: repressed people don't know how to feel anything except anger. It's the only acceptable emotion they were ever taught. So they create drama, then play the victim (which "justifies" their anger) when healthier people push back.

I have a long theory about this but in summary from a psychiatrist it's about conflict from childhood trauma.

Throughout childhood they likely had a parent constantly causing conflicts. It was normal. So now in life when there isn't conflicts they attempt to create it on social media to feel normal

It's our news media and social media whose main money making tricks are amplifying division and hate for clicks and viewers. Same people who hire psych professionals on addicting the populace to it. IMO

The possibilities extend way beyond conflict--to physical and sexual abuse, manipulation, scapegoating, judgment, and criticism on one end of the spectrum to stonewalling and lack of attention (i.e., neglect) on the other. And a small toolbox leads to overuse and misuse.

There are a lot of folks who are addicted to drama in their lives AND don't even realize it.

If there's no drama present, they'll create it.

By the way, Mr. Bouzy, this is all your fault you know. You told us we weren't worthless numbers on a page to you, that we should expect safety and truth here, and you've delivered.

You've given us as a body a dangerous sense of self-worth entirely missing from all other social media.

"I'm Super Special Syndrome" doesn't really play in these waters, does it?

We're all super special, thanks, and quite willing to give people appreciation for their own super specialness, provided it doesn't come with a heaping side of arrogant entitlement.
