There's a real challenge here. AI can produce work "in the style of", but our copyright laws are most effective against copying particular works or images. If "in the style of" were an enforcable violation, a lot of human artists would be in troubke too. How to thread the needle?

But
I have fewer than 1000 images floating around online. AI trains on HUGE datasets. It spits back styles representative of a huge number of images. This is a problem for artists and designers. One should not have to be unassailably iconic to be compensated fairly and respected for work.
